german exchange part two: same dog, new tricks

5 months later, what is going to happen. We arrived at the airport at half 3 in the morning and although we were very tired, we were very glad to see each other. A few hours later, we were in Munich, Germany and to our surprise, we found our Deutsch fam waiting for us there at the arrivals when we were meant to see them a day later when we traveled to Munchberg. We had a great first day and I remember thinking it was great to get back to this but as I said in my part one post, I didn't know what to expect but I knew it was going to be great, and it was, but the feeling was so different that it felt like a whole new german exchange experience. It turned out it was just a shock for us to now have to take in the German culture and witness the differences.

The days that followed were hectic, we went to scarf factories and museums, little Berlin, Nuremburg, a comic museum, learned German dances and saw a rock musical. On the weekend and other non planned activities, we went skiing and while everyone was struggling and falling with it being their first time, I, OWNED, THOSE HILLS. Went straight from the highest hill and sped down another 10 more times, falling once or twice but mastering it the first time. Really proud of that XD! But we also had a dinner night, at a Schnitzel buffet and nearly every night consisted of going over to someone's house at night and not going back home until the late AMs.

When we eventually had to leave them in what seemed like it was going to be the last time, some cried, some laughed but in the end we all went to one person's house and danced the night away, we had a real ball and when we arrived back to Ireland the next day, we made the decision that we were going to meet again, in Ireland or Germany, it doesn't matter. We will meet again.
